Which file
- TXT. The words, no times. For reading or pasting.
- SRT. Timed cues with a comma. For Premiere, CapCut, Descript.
- VTT. Timed cues with a dot, starts with WEBVTT. For browsers and YouTube uploads.
- JSON. Each cue as text, start, and duration. For code.
You don't need to own the channel
YouTube Studio only exports captions for a channel you own. This page works on any public video that already has captions. The file is named {video_id}.{lang}.{ext}.
